A study conducted by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons concluded that tummy tuck surgery (also known as abdominoplasty) can be safely performed on obese patients. After seven years, the complication rates between the obese and non-obese groups were compared, and researchers discovered that the risk factors were similar for both groups.
