In a new report from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), researchers discovered that Americans spent more than $16.5 billion on cosmetic and minimally invasive procedures in 2018, marking a 4% increase from 2017. Along with the total amount spent on cosmetic surgery, the report broke down the average fees into the most and least expensive procedures as well as into the average cost of popular cosmetic procedures. Breast augmentation was among the least expensive procedures while facelifts were among the most expensive.
