The world’s largest plastic surgeon organization, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), recently conducted a survey to discover which plastic surgery procedures are top of mind for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. As consultations and appointments resume safely, plastic surgeons may be interested to know the predicted plastic surgery trends for 2020. The insights below are based on learnings via telemedicine appointments from over 350 plastic surgeons. Injectables were number one on the list followed by more invasive procedures:

  1. Botulinum Toxin Type A – 65%
  2. Breast Augmentation – 44%
  3. Soft Tissue Fillers – 37%
  4. Liposuction – 30%
  5. Abdominoplasty– 24%

This data suggests that patients continue to stay interested in plastic surgery procedures through the COVID-19 pandemic and that general interest has not shifted in the types of trending procedures.
