Meet Amanda Troester. Amanda’s compassionate nature, in combination with nearly twelve years of experience in healthcare, lends itself to exceptional service and passionate patient advocacy. As Office Manager, Amanda will help guide you through our practice and act as your personal liaison. From scheduling your appointments, to explaining your finance options, to directing you to the person at our practice who can best answer your questions, Amanda stands ready to help you.
Amanda received her Associates of Arts degree from Kirkwood Community College in 1999. She graduated with honors as a Phi Theta Kappa member and was the recipient of the Crawford Merit Scholarship.
Amanda and her husband, Brian, reside in Spring Hill with their two daughters, Emily and Kirsten and puppy, Minnie Pearl (adopted from Russell Rescue). She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, writing, and listening to audiobooks during her commute to and from work.
Penny Bowman, BSN, RN, CST is a licensed registered nurse and certified surgical technologist. She has 8 years of experience in delivering patient care, with over 4 years as a registered nurse caring for medical-surgical and plastic surgery patients.
As a surgical technologist, Penny had a desire for more patient interaction and knowledge. While working in surgery she received an Associate’s Degree of Nursing from Aquinas College in 2012. After developing a strong passion for nursing she returned to school to advance her knowledge and clinical acumen. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Austin Peay State University in 2016. She is certified in basic life support (BLS).
Penny, a Nashville native, loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys travel, theatrical plays, music events, and caring for others.
Aleshia Lane, RN-BSN, is a Board Certified Registered Nurse with more than 3 years of experience caring for patients in a variety of areas, including plastic surgery, critical care and complex medical-surgical health situations. She is passionate about providing high quality, exceptional care for all of her patients.
Aleshia received a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Georgia State University in 2014. She was graduated Summa Cum Laude, along with induction into Sigma Theta Tau, an international nursing honors society. In addition, Aleshia received the Evangeline Lane Founder’s award for academic excellence. She is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) and telemetry monitoring.
Aleshia grew up in Atlanta and recently relocated to Nashville. She lives with her husband of two years, Christopher, who happens to be a real life rocket scientist! Aleshia and Chris have two girls, Olivia and Hope. Aleshia volunteers for the Parent’s Reaching Out program with Vanderbilt University. She enjoys leisure time with her family, friends and exploring new adventures.
Emily joined our practice after spending twelve years in customer service. Five of those years were dedicated to healthcare. She is currently pursuing a career in nursing and is excited to be a part of such a professional and advanced medical team. Next to faith and family, she devotes her life to serving and providing care for others. Emily firmly believes that sincerity of the heart is shown through actions more than words.
Emily is currently attending nursing school at Nashville State Community College.
She loves spending time with her husband and three children doing outdoor activities of all types.
Lupe is born and raised in Nashville and is currently attending Tennessee State University to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. She is bilingual and speaks Spanish and English. Lupe spent six years in customer service before joining our practice in 2014. She is excited to be a part of such a wonderful and caring team. Lupe is very passionate about helping others and strives to exceed our patients’ needs. Lupe loves baking and spending time with her family and friends.
Eva was born in Los Angeles, California but has been living in Nashville since 2006. She received her certification in medical assisting and phlebotomy in 2015 from Nashville College of Medical Careers. Eva enjoys helping others by overcoming language barriers, and she is bilingual in both English and Spanish. Eva loves her family and her two dogs, Max and Dougie. In her free time she enjoys going to the gym, taking a dance class, or hanging out with friends. She is very excited to be a part of the team at Dr. J. J. Wendel Plastic Surgery!
Kimberly is originally from Colorado and has been living in Nashville since 2015. She received her Bachelors of Music degree from Webster University in St. Louis, MO. Kimberly is a classically trained singer and has had the opportunity to travel and perform around the world. Her love of music and the arts brought her to Nashville, and she has since fallen in love with the city. She brings with her over 10 years of customer service experience, including 2 years in health and wellness. One of her passions is truly connecting with and helping others. She is honored and excited to be joining Dr. Wendel’s extraordinary team.
Jadi “hails from the great state of Montana” as Dr. Wendel likes to say! A born and raised mountain girl, she decided to cross the country for college to attend the prestigious Elon University, from which she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Music Theatre with a concentration in Creative Writing. Rather than moving to New York to continue her career on the stage, Jadi made her way to Nashville where she could get back to her country roots and still put her training from world-renowned vocal coaches to good use. In 2017, she furthered her passion for photography and attended the Rocky Mountain School of Photography SI Program.
Jadi is so excited to now take her talents to help Dr. Wendel and his fantastic team in giving you the most warm and welcoming care.
In her spare time, Jadi loves to take her mutt, Huckleberry, on long hikes in the great outdoors, travel, read, and keep up her blog.
Meet Christy McClung, who joined our practice in May 2014. She is a native Nashvillian who lived in Texas a short time while studying nursing at Tennessee Christian University.
Christy has three children — Tyler, Clay, and Caleigh. She also parents a cavapoo named Chili. Christy enjoys outdoor adventures including hiking, skiing, traveling , attending sporting events & volunteer work. She is active in her community church.
