MEET OUR TEAM MEMBERS
Amanda Troester, Office Manager
Meet Amanda Troester. Amanda’s compassionate nature, in combination with nearly twelve years of experience in healthcare, lends itself to exceptional service and passionate patient advocacy. As Office Manager, Amanda will help guide you through our practice and act as your personal liaison. From scheduling your appointments, to explaining your finance options, to directing you to the person at our practice who can best answer your questions, Amanda stands ready to help you.
Amanda received her Associates of Arts degree from Kirkwood Community College in 1999. She graduated with honors as a Phi Theta Kappa member and was the recipient of the Crawford Merit Scholarship.
Amanda and her husband, Brian, reside in Spring Hill with their two daughters, Emily and Kirsten and puppy, Minnie Pearl (adopted from Russell Rescue). She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, writing, and listening to audiobooks during her commute to and from work.
Beth Gill, Surgery Scheduler & Management
Beth has 16 years of experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, over ten of those years have been spent working directly with Dr. Wendel. Her solid experience and diligent work ethic provide the foundation in which she is able to deal successfully with the demands of our busy office.
She specializes in pre- and post-op counseling, striving to make your surgical journey as stress-free as possible. Beth will be there for you to coordinate your procedures, pre-authorize insurance when applicable, and help you navigate through the surgery process, ensuring that your experience at Dr. J. J. Wendel Plastic Surgery is seamless. Beth’s attentive, compassionate demeanor and incomparable communication skills will help prepare you for surgery in such a way, that you feel confident about each and every step.
Beth graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Psychology.
Beth is a busy mother of three — Abby, Jack, and Sarah Grace. Beth grew up in Kingston Springs, TN and resides there now with her husband, Josh and their children. She enjoys family activities like kayaking the Harpeth River.
Shannon Reed, Aesthetic Concierge
Meet Shannon, our Aesthetic Concierge. A licensed esthetician since 2008, Shannon’s extensive background includes experience in dermatology, advanced laser treatments and cosmetic procedures. Skin care is her passion. When she joined our family in August 2015, Shannon found it most rewarding to help patients with their skin care journey. Some of her favorite products include Dr. Wendel Koji Pads, Revision Brightening Facial Wash, Revision Intellishade and SkinMedica HA5. If you want younger, healthy looking skin and are not sure where to start, meeting with Shannon is your first step.
This Nashville native is strong in her faith and enjoys spending her time outside of the office with friends and family. There’s no place she would rather be than on a beach… with her SPF products, of course.
Christy McClung, Clinical Assistant to Dr. J. J. Wendel, Certified Lash Specialist
Meet Christy McClung, who joined our practice in May 2014. She is a native Nashvillian who lived in Texas a short time while studying nursing at Tennessee Christian University.
Christy has three children — Tyler, Clay, and Caleigh. She also parents a cavapoo named Chili. Christy enjoys outdoor adventures including hiking, skiing, traveling , attending sporting events & volunteer work. She is active in her community church.
Emily Moore, Patient Care Coordinator
Emily joined our practice after spending nine years in customer service. Five of those years were dedicated to healthcare. She is currently pursuing a career in nursing and is excited to be a part of such a professional and advanced medical team. Next to faith and family, serving and providing care for others is what she devotes her life. Emily firmly believes that sincerity of the heart is shown through actions more than words.
Emily is currently attending nursing school at Nashville State Community College.
Emily moved to Nashville from Oregon in 2009. She and her husband, Jeff, have three sons — Rylee, Kamden and Baxter. They also have three dogs – two Westies and a Chow. She enjoys caring for her “mini” farm of chickens, goats, rabbits, and a pot-bellied pig. In addition, she loves working out, going to the beach, and spending time with her family outdoors. Emily also participates in service projects through church and in her community.
