Plastic Surgeon Performs Unique Skin Graft Procedure On Unlikely Patient

Dr. Shrader, a plastic surgeon in Omaha, Nebraska, successfully replaced the charred bone of a wounded bald eagle with a skin graft. He took feathers and skin from the eagle’s groin and customized them to fit the shape of the wound on the eagle’s head. The eagle is now recovering from a successful surgery!
