Boy With First Double Hand Transplant Can Now Hold A Baseball Bat

Zion Harvey was the world’s first child to undergo a double hand transplant. After an 11-hour bilateral surgery and 18 months of recovery, Zion has exceeded previous adapted abilities and can write, feed and dress himself, as well as go to the bathroom by himself. Now he is gripping and swinging a baseball bat, playing video games multiple times a week at his therapy sessions! His next goal? Climbing the monkey bars.
