Number of Adults Considering Aesthetic Treatments on the Rise

RealSelf 2018 U.S. Aesthetics Interest Survey

In 2018, 4 in 5 Americans report a desire to change at least one part of their body. Medical aesthetics treatments have become more widely accepted in self-care routines. According to a survey conducted by RealSelf, one in three adults (37%) in the United States are considering a nonsurgical or surgical cosmetic treatment within the next 12 months. The primary motivators participants cite are to improve self-esteem/confidence, to look as good as they feel, and to help with weight loss/fat removal.
