Botox injections are known to decrease the frequency of migraines. However, a recent study has been exploring the use of Botox treatments as a way of preventing migraine headaches. Pooled data showed that, in comparison to the placebo, those who received Botox injections suffered 1.6 fewer migraines per month. Based on the results, some plastic surgeons believe that Botox may be a better way to prevent migraines than prescription medication.
