In 2025, we’ve seen the growth of subtle aesthetic enhancements, younger patients seeking treatments, and the rise of medical weight loss through medspas. With all that innovation it begs the question, what will next year bring? Will it be more of the same trends or will something new break into the industry? Will common procedures become obsolete? What will steal the celebrity spotlight? While we won’t know for sure until the new year and watch trends rise and fall, here are some predictions based on this year’s changes and what the plastic surgery and cosmetics industries are saying.

Continuing the Trend of Undetectable Work

Over the past couple of years, the trend of subtle, natural enhancements have become increasingly popular among celebrities and everyday patients. We expect to see more clients seeking results of this nature, and with the potential technological advancements, at a new level of ease and convenience. Small, exact amounts of filler, light Botox, and lasering to rejuvenate the skin and prevent obvious signs of aging will likely be the norm. In particular, Botox placement and balancing may become more exact for some injectors, avoiding what has been dubbed “Spock brow” (where the end of the brow is raised similarly to the fictional character’s brow shape due to forehead muscle imbalance with Botox).

Regenerative Treatments

Injectables that boost collagen production and stimulate skin elasticity are yet another aspect of cosmetic injections that have developed more heavily throughout the past year. In 2026, this could reach a new height with the combination of dermatology and longevity science. The more that can be discovered about anti-aging and cell stimulation, the better treatments will become. Doctors expect the discoveries will lead to earlier, more customizable care for patients, meaning they’ll likely need less intensive care as they age.

Advanced Imaging & AI Devices

With technology advancing en masse, we expect it won’t skip over medical imaging, including skin assessments. From simply identifying age spots, small fine lines, and texture changes, imaging assessments will soon be able to tell us more about skin quality. Identifying pore size, shape, and more of patients’ skin can help injectors and doctors create a treatment plan that will work for their individual skin conditions.

Along with imaging, we’re seeing AI infiltrate all areas of modern life, including medicine. Already, the AVAVA laser is making history with its artificial intelligence, evenly spacing the light treatment making it easier to use. More lasers and mechanical treatment apparatuses will likely integrate AI into their technology in the coming year as well.
