A procedure that’s already popular in Korea, lip edge filler, is gaining popularity in the United States. Rather than adding volume to the entire lip, this technique is designed to slightly raise the edges of the lips, creating the illusion of a permanent smile. During this treatment, small amounts of hyaluronic acid fillers are injected in the corners of the mouth at an upward angle. Additional filler is then used to add volume to the center of the lips and/or around the border of the mouth.
