Biology, psychology, culture, and society influence the way we view attractiveness. Even at a young age, humans automatically categorize a person as beautiful or not. Previous studies concluded that attractiveness was determined by waist-to-hip ratio as well as the shape and symmetry of an individual’s body. However, recent studies have found that this view of attractiveness varies from person to person. In fact, an individual’s perception of beauty can evolve through different exposures in their environment.
