Dear Friends,

On April 24, 2020, Governor Lee released the “Tennessee Pledge,” a plan to help Tennesseans return to work in a safe environment, restore their livelihoods, and reboot our state’s economy following the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19. For more than a year, Dr. J. J. Wendel Plastic Surgery has taken the pledge to heart, following guidelines from the CDC, the World Health Organization, the Board of Health for Nashville and Davidson County, and Mayor Cooper’s office to protect our team and community while serving our beautiful patients.

Wearing a mask is required if:

  • You are entering the office AFTER a positive COVID test and quarantine period AND
  • It is within 10 calendar days AFTER your quarantine has ended

In all other circumstances, a mask is recommended (not required).

If you see a team member without a mask on and would feel more at ease with us masking up, please let us know. Your safety and comfort have always been and will remain our first priority.

Our office is open for all appointments Monday-Thursday, 9AM-5PM and Friday, 8AM-1PM. We still offer contactless curbside pickup for skincare products, as well as surgery-related telemedicine consults.

While the risk of spreading and contracting COVID-19 diminishes thanks to the vaccine, it is still possible to get sick if you are not vaccinated. People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of mild to severe symptoms reported. They may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Please review those symptoms HERE (en español).

If there is any concern or question about whether a patient, visitor, or employee has been exposed to COVID-19 and could be a carrier of the virus, we kindly ask you to please stay home.

If you need to reschedule your appointment due to the virus, we will be waiving our cancellation fee during this time to ensure that you are able to reschedule with confidence.

For those who are not fully vaccinated and are concerned about how to protect yourself and others, please read the CDC’s recommendations. We are encouraging everyone to wash their hands well, use hand sanitizer, and follow best practices to protect the health and well-being of themselves, their families, and our community at large. We will continue to be as proactive as possible to provide a beautiful, hygienic atmosphere.

We are monitoring the latest information including recommendations from the CDC, World Health Organization, and the Metro Health Department and doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19.

We remain grateful for our incredible patients, our amazing team, our family members, friends, and everyone who has supported us throughout this unprecedented time. Your loyalty and love have kept us going and our small business thriving. We sincerely thank you.

Sending our thoughts and well wishes always.

Warmly,

The Team at Dr. J. J. Wendel Plastic Surgery
