On April 24, 2020, Governor Lee released the “Tennessee Pledge,” a plan to help Tennesseans return to work in a safe environment, restore their livelihoods and reboot our state’s economy following the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19. For more information and to read the plan, click here. Dr. J. J. Wendel Plastic Surgery is doing our part and taking every necessary precaution to protect our team and community.
Until further notice, our office is open for all appointments Monday-Thursday, 9AM-5PM and Friday, 8AM-1PM. We will continue offering contactless curbside pickup for skincare products, as well as surgery-related telemedicine consults.
To keep our team, patients and community safe, we are screening all patients and visitors prior to allowing them into the practice. If you are scheduled for an appointment, you will receive a text to complete our digital screening form. Please do so before your appointment. If you prefer, you may also download, print and complete our screening form – HERE (Microsoft Word) and HERE (PDF) – prior to leaving your residence. If you answer “yes” to any of the questions on the form, we ask you to stay home and contact us to reschedule your appointment.
If there is any concern or question about whether a patient, visitor or employee has been exposed to COVID-19 and could be a carrier of the virus, we kindly ask you to please stay home.
If you need to reschedule your appointment due to the virus, we will be waiving our cancellation fee during this time to ensure that you are able to reschedule with confidence.
We ask you to attend your appointment alone unless you are one of the following:
Dr. J. J. Wendel Plastic Surgery is following the CDC’s recommendations and guidelines for preventing the spread of respiratory diseases like COVID-19 (en español). We are wiping down all door handles, light switches, restrooms, chairs, beds, tables and common areas throughout the day. We are encouraging everyone to wash their hands well, use hand sanitizer and follow best practices to protect the health and well-being of themselves, their families and our community at large. We will continue to be as proactive as possible to provide a beautiful, hygienic atmosphere.
Every employee completes our screening form and checks our temperature prior to arriving at work each day. If any member of our patient care team needs to come within 6 feet of a patient or visitor, we will wear a mask and gloves to help prevent the spread of germs. All patients, staff and visitors are required to wear a mask in common areas. Please bring a mask with you to your appointment. We cannot provide masks for patients and visitors. Additionally, our staff is practicing safe social distancing.
We are constantly monitoring the latest information including recommendations from the CDC, World Health Organization and the Metro Health Department and doing our part to stop the spread of this virus.
As we continue to navigate this unprecedented time together, we will immediately communicate any further changes to our plans. We can’t thank you enough for your patience and understanding. Your support and loyalty mean so much.
Sending our thoughts and well wishes to you and your loved ones. ❤
