Nearly every case of rare cancer being traced back to breast implants, called anaplastic large-cell lymphoma or ALCL, has been linked to textured implants. Symptoms including breast pain, lumps, fluid buildup, and swelling should be examined by a doctor who understands how to treat problems with implants. If women with implants are not experiencing any symptoms, they should stick to regular mammograms and scans with a professional who is trained to deal with breast implants.
