How Plastic Surgery Trends Are Often Influenced by Where You Live

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) recently released the annual report on plastic surgery trends. It’s no surprise that selfie culture has brought more people into plastic surgery practices in the past year, asking for procedures that will replicate the effects of certain filters. The ASPS report also shows that plastic surgery trends are more localized than we might realize – the type of plastic surgery you choose is strongly influenced by your zip code. For example, over a quarter of all butt augmentations are performed in the Southeast US.
